Noida: Arihant Ambar AOA accused of siphoning off funds

NOIDA: In a recent development from a GBM (General Body Meeting) of Arihant Ambar held on 25th Aug 2024, in Greater Noida (W) , Residents have accused AOA of siphoning off huge funds to personal accounts.

In addition, the NOC of Fire & National Green Tribunal expired in Sep 2023, but the AOA left society unattended and didn’t attempt at renewal of these critical NOCs which are legally mandatory for successfull operation and maintenance of such societies. In lapse of which, if there’s a fire accident, no insurance could be claimed and only society would be held liable. Plus, the delay in taking the NOCs would mean there will bound to be heavy monetary penalty for residents.

In July 2024, the frustated residents of Arihant Ambar voted in favour of the new AOA. But, the new AOA is yet to come to power since the handover process is pending as the existing AOA under Amit Gupta is avoiding signing important documents required for taking over the charge.

AAO president M K Singh and the secretary Amit Gupta are being questioned for these lapses by the residents for over a year. During the GBM of 25th Aug 2024, when residents raised these critical questions with Secreatry Amit Gupta, he charged with anger at one of the residents Manoj Jamla threatening him with loss of life. The new AOA member Diwakar had to control and hold Amit Gupta from behind as he tried to get physical with the residents.

AOA has also been acccused of secretly selling the society’s public property Diesel Generator to the builder keeping residents in dark. Also, there has been no corrective action on the portion of balconies falling off regularly which may anytime lead to severe casulties, and even death of a resident.

Residents are now considering to fight a legal battle against President M K Singh and Secretary Amit Gupta collectively. Lack of Fire NOC, NGT NOC has put lives of Arihant Ambar Residents in great danger.

There was a similar case reported from a different society Ace City Noida in 2023. The case of which is still lying in the courts.
