Hiba Khan leads Knowledge Outreach through Project Pragya

Environmental Responsibility

Hiba Green Foundation’s Project Pragya brought books and conversations about social and environmental responsibility to the Noida community. Through a public outreach stall, the initiative invited visitors to explore how knowledge can encourage thoughtful choices and collective action. The response highlighted a shared interest in climate awareness, sustainable living and practical ways to contribute to change.

Reading to Encourage Reflection

The stall featured four books associated with the foundation’s knowledge outreach: Climate Actions in Everyday Life, Doodh Ka Rang Safed Nahi, Laal Hai, Garam Roti – Fansi Ka Fanda and Why Are Women Killing Men?. Book distribution gave visitors an opportunity to engage with subjects including climate change, veganism, animal welfare, ethical living and social responsibility.

Rather than treating reading as an end in itself, Project Pragya presented books as a starting point for questions and discussion. Visitors expressed interest in learning more about environmental issues, sustainable lifestyles and the role individuals can play in addressing shared challenges.

From Knowledge Outreach to Participation

The initiative also introduced people to Hiba Green Foundation’s wider work. Visitors made voluntary donations and showed interest in taking part in its programmes. Among them was Aranya – Restore Nature, focused on afforestation, ecological restoration and biodiversity conservation. Another programme, Sakhi – Empower People, works towards women’s empowerment and community welfare.

These connections show how a community gathering centered on books can create pathways to broader involvement. Sharing knowledge can help people understand an issue; open conversation can make it more relevant; and opportunities to participate can turn interest into action.

Learning That Leads to Change

Project Pragya’s encouraging response in Noida reflects the value of making learning accessible and connecting it with everyday choices. Climate responsibility, compassion for animals and community wellbeing may seem like distinct concerns, but each is shaped by the decisions people make and the values they support.

Hiba Khan and Hiba Green Foundation’s initiative carries a clear message: thoughtful reading can shift perspectives, informed conversations can inspire action, and collective effort can support a more sustainable and compassionate society. Project Pragya continues to encourage people to read thoughtfully, learn practically and live responsibly.
