Hiba Khan’s Project Sakhi supports Menstrual Health for Women Workers

Community Initiatives

A Community Initiative at Royal Nest Society

On 2 November 2026, Hiba Green Foundation organised a sanitary pad distribution drive at Royal Nest Society in Techzone 4, Greater Noida West. The initiative provided sanitary pads to women sanitation workers employed at the society, helping address a practical need that can be difficult to meet when financial or social barriers limit access to essential menstrual hygiene products.

For women who keep residential communities clean and functioning, access to period products is an important part of health and everyday well-being. The drive offered direct support while also drawing attention to the value of making menstrual care more accessible within local communities.

Promoting Health, Dignity and Open Conversation

Menstrual hygiene is closely connected to women’s health, comfort and dignity. Yet stigma and limited awareness can make it harder to discuss menstruation or seek support. By pairing distribution with awareness, the initiative highlighted the importance of treating menstrual health as a normal part of community well-being.

Sanitary products are not a luxury; they are a basic necessity. Community efforts can help bridge immediate gaps and encourage more open, respectful conversations about periods. When these conversations are met with practical action, they can contribute to a more supportive environment for women and girls.

Continuing the Work of Community Welfare

Under the leadership of founder Hiba Khan, Hiba Green Foundation works on initiatives related to women’s empowerment, environmental protection, health awareness and community welfare. The foundation aims to extend similar efforts to more residential communities and underserved groups, so that awareness of menstrual health can lead to meaningful support.

The sanitary pad distribution drive is one example of how a focused act can respond to an everyday need and affirm the dignity of women workers. Continued efforts and community participation can help make essential menstrual care easier to access, while reducing the silence and stigma around it.

Small Acts, Lasting Meaning

Hiba Green Foundation believes small acts can create meaningful impact. By supporting women sanitation workers and encouraging awareness, this initiative reflects a simple principle: care becomes stronger when it is practical, inclusive and rooted in respect. Act green. Live kind. Inspire change.
