Hiba Khan delivers Climate Talk at HIMT Group of Institutions, Noida

World

Greater Noida: HIMT Group of Institutions hosted a climate awareness session by Hiba Green Foundation (HGF), bringing together students and academic leadership for an engaging discussion on climate change, sustainable living and the role of individual choices in addressing environmental challenges.

The session, led by Hiba Khan, Founder of Hiba Green Foundation and Hiba Green Voice, focused on the need to move beyond climate awareness towards practical and responsible action in everyday life. Discussions covered the growing environmental impact of human consumption, population growth, food choices and lifestyle patterns.

One of the key themes of the session was population and responsible parenthood. Hiba highlighted that addressing population pressure does not necessarily mean bringing more lives into an already resource-stressed world. She encouraged young people to consider adoption, particularly adoption of children who are already in need of families and care, as one compassionate way of building families without adding to population growth.

The session also examined the environmental footprint of the meat and dairy industries, particularly their contribution to greenhouse gas emissions and pressure on land, water and other natural resources. Students were encouraged to understand the connection between food choices, consumption patterns and climate change, while exploring practical steps that individuals can take to reduce their environmental impact.

Before the session, Hiba Green Foundation shared its two newly launched books — “Garam Roti, Fansi Ka Fanda” and “Climate Actions in Everyday Life” — with the management of HIMT Group of Institutions. The books aim to encourage deeper conversations around animal ethics, sustainability and practical climate action.

HGF expressed its gratitude to HIMT Group of Institutions for hosting the Foundation and recognising the importance of creating informed climate conversations among students and future professionals.

The Foundation also acknowledged the support and participation of Professor Pankaj Kumar, Director – Management Studies; Dr. Sudhir Kumar, Group Director; and Ankush Mishra, Placement Director, for facilitating the session.

The interaction concluded with an engaging exchange between the students and the HGF team, reinforcing the message that climate action is not limited to policy or institutions — it also begins with the everyday choices individuals make.

Hiba Green Foundation continues to promote climate awareness, sustainability education and responsible living through its outreach programmes, educational initiatives and public conversations.
